About the Artist

I married my high-school sweetheart, Jeff, in 1991 and we have two wonderful children, Sydney (10) and Ty (7).

I lived in Atlanta for 12 years working as a legal assistant  on some very high-profile cases in town. Soon after becoming pregnant with our second child, I became a stay-at-home mom and put my career on hold for the next couple of years, focusing all my attentions on my family. It was definitely the right decision for our family and I have never regretted it.

Very soon after Ty was born, we decided it was time to get out of the big city.  We decided on Asheville, NC since there was family that lived nearby.  We had spent many years visiting the Asheville area and really thought it was beautiful.  We have now made Western North Carolina our home for 5 years and can't imagine living anywhere else.  We have a beautiful view of the Blue Ridge Mountains out our back window and even have some goats and cows in view.

Asheville is a very artsy town, so eclectic, and filled with every kind of artist you can imagine. This definitely helped in getting my artistic juices flowing. I started making all sorts of things, not just crosses. I spent lots of time painting (and gardening), anything that required creativity. It filled my days with so much joy and fun, that I decided to start selling some of my creations at a local retail shop in town, where I opened up a small booth.

The twisted wire cross became my most popular item, and it didn't take long for me to come up with all my designs. I absolutely LOVE having my own business, and I love that my products are scripture-based and inspirational in nature.
